Middle School,
Done Differently

糖心APP reimagines how and what we learn to equip the next generation to create an exciting future for themselves and for humanity.

Instead of exams,

we learn through real-world projects.

Instead of a standardized curriculum,

we learn through personalized learning
journeys.

Instead of memorization,

we focus on whole-human development.聽

Learners globally love our approach

We have designed our Middle School based off feedback from our school community, to develop a truly learner-centered approach.

Here鈥檚 what our current families had to say about our Middle School launch:

鈥淟una said it in her 15-second end-of-term testimonial; what she likes most is that learning is tailored and centred on the learner, not the topic. So the topic is not thrown at the learner, with the learner being ‘marked’ on how they respond to the topic. Rather, the topic is offered to the learner and all learning and inquiry is entirely centred on the learner and their learning journey is entirely tailored to their needs; this means that time is taken to make sure facilitator and learner work together to find the correct way in which the learner actually absorbs and integrates the new knowledge and understanding of the topic. There’s great teamwork and cohesion between the SoH team and their learner’s parents/guardians.

鈥淎s a middle school learner, in my first online setting, I felt as though I was welcomed, and taught through a wonderful method. I’ve met many great people here, including my facilitators, Lucila, Ashna, and Nobu, as well as fellow learners, who I’ve really connected with. I’ve had more insightful conversations in class than ever before, learned a ton, and was even given the opportunity to join Foundational High School early! I’m thriving more than ever with school of humanity, and wouldn’t want to change schools ever. Thank you to all of those who gave me an incredible first term!鈥

鈥淓ven after moving to Dubai for the sole purpose of our daughter鈥檚 schooling and her having secured a place in one of the top schools here and in the world rankings, things fell well short of my expectations鈥 am happy to say that we have found a wonderful learning experience [at SoH] with the right balance of exposure, stimulation and independent working. As for my fears concerning the transition into a whole new world of learning, I need not have worried at all. She is thriving. For, the teachers are supportive, always just a message or mail away with immediate responses.鈥

鈥淭he half of the term went by so quickly but enjoyed every moment! All facilitators and the sessions were very much engaging and didn’t make me feel bored. After each project, the feedbacks which I get from my learning facilitator truly makes my day! My old school teachers haven’t appreciated me for anything I do, even the big accomplishments which I’ve spent so much time on and executed within limited time I got but here even for these projects itself I get appreciation which gets me on cloud 9 always! Of course, there will be improvements needed the next time I do the project but even those suggestions are put together in a way that I never get sad or take it to heart. Loving it so far!鈥

鈥淪oH lets our daughters in Advanced and Middle School take their learning into their own hands, gives them a new self responsibility and sense of meaning for inspired exploration of topics they are eager to learn about and discover new talents and sides within themselves. Finding new friends from all over the globe within the kind SoH community makes their worlds go round smoothly. They have set off and are flying! Thank you to all at SoH!

鈥淚 like the learning that we do, and that the teachers are actually interested in our cultures and traditions of origin. In mainstream school, my experience was that the teacher talked whilst the students were quiet. In SoH, my experience is more that the students talk whilst the teachers ask questions and stay quiet, teaching, guiding, and informing when it’s relevant and useful to do so. It’s also good that the School doesn’t teach just one religion, but is open to many spiritual traditions.鈥
